Liev Schreiber Adopts A Pair Of Hurricane Harvey Dogs

Home for Good Dogs Rescue in New Jersey is just one of the many shelters across the country who have taken in pets from shelters in the area affected by Hurricane Harvey. The rescue had two pilots fly Texas to drop off supplies for people in need, and return with over 20 dogs seeking new homes. They were invited to appear on Live with Kelly and Ryan this week, and the dogs got to rub shoulders with some of the show’s other guests!

Actor Liev Schreiber, who has two children with ex-wife Naomi Watts, was there to promote his TV show. He met the dogs backstage, and called his sons via Facetime to let them choose two from the group brought by the rescue. They were adopted on the spot!

Their two new additions are three months old, and have been named Woody and Willow. Schreiber has already taken to Instagram like a proud new-dog-dad, showing off the adorable pair!

The rescue hoped to bring awareness to the dogs seeking new homes after the hurricane, and Schriber has brought a lot of attention to their cause! Hopefully, the other shelter dogs won’t have too long to wait for their forever homes!
